Progress in computer science...

Now that my academic life at the university started taking shape, I could devote more time to individual tasks and actually practice skills in taught in the computer science class. It was as though time just flew past and I found myself doing my first midterm in the subject. At first, I was nervous, it was the general student freight of not performing well enough. But, when I first sat down to revise the notes I made in class, I could recall what was taught and apply the same to my practice sessions. I then utilised the resources available on the course website like the files uploaded after lectures, which I read through and performed operations like those demonstrated in class during the lecture. There were several instances when I would make mistakes and receive errors from Dr racket, but this was part of the learning. This process got even more interesting when I was able to manipulate images, strings ,Booleans ,Cond statements etc to produce other elements. To overcome the

How i felt as a beginner! The start of something new In today’s contemporary world, it is essential to keep up with technology and the digital environment. A major part of our lives is influenced by computers, from the phones in our hands to the robots used to make our clothes in factories. This is the reason I had an incentive to gain adequate knowledge of computational thinking to fully understand and realise how important these are. I entered the course with a hope of being able to polish my existing computer skills and gain other ones along the way. When I first entered the csc104 class, I was preparing to have a lecture where the professor just throws functions at you and leaves you with no option but to figure them out. But, to my surprise professor Danny demonstrated various operations from Dr racket and patiently answered all the questions asked. I honestly had no idea what programming was, but I understood a large part of what was taught in the classes and found it i
